Surgery

We are able to carry out standing surgery on sedated horses and short procedures under full anaesthetic. Examples of procedures which we commonly perform are horse castrations, hernia repairs, removal of skin lumps and taking out cheek teeth which have become damaged or loose.  We perform most procedures at your premises as long there are clean, dry conditions. If a procedure is complicated or will require a longer anaesthetic we will recommend referral to a suitable specialist practice or University, the choice of which will depend upon the procedure required.
